The Confederation of Canadian Unions held it’s 2013 executive meeting and labour school in Toronto. Delegates from the CCU’s four affiliated unions across the country took part. The keynote speaker was Lorraine Sudnik from York University, who led a fascinating, day-long workshop on the issue of work/life balance.
The executive meeting focused on the activities of the CCU affiliates during the past year, including the struggle against austerity, fighting anti-union legislation of the provincial and federal governments, taking part in political and social events, taking a stand for workers and social justice, and focusing on the challenges ahead.
