Nova Scotians are coming together this week to mark the second anniversary of the province’s mass shooting in moments of quiet reflection for the 22 victims and all those affected by the tragedy.
April 18 and 19 mark two years since a gunman, at times dressed as a police officer, killed neighbours and strangers in a span of 13 hours as he drove across the province.
The CCU commented on the tragedy two years ago. As we wrote: “Nova Scotia is home to hundreds of members of the Nova Scotia Union of Public and Private Employees (NSUPE), a long-time CCU affiliate. Halifax is a regular meeting place of CCU conventions and events, and CCU members are always welcomed by its outgoing and friendly residents and enjoy time spent there.”
During this commemoration, our thoughts are with the victims and their families and friends.
